Bye Bye Pores Perfects Skin In More Ways than One

HD makeup isn’t a new thing, but the bridge with skincare is an innovative approach. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores HD Finishing Powder ($24) “delivers a face-perfecting airbrushed look that blurs pores and imperfections, with anti-aging benefits” (according to the product description). Bye Bye Pores contains collagen to help smooth lines, vitamin K to lighten discoloration, and antioxidants A, C and E to fight free radicals (just know these make us look old!). And it’s oil and talc free.

Does it live up to the “airbrushed claim?” Somewhat. It’s probably the best look achieved without using an actual airbrush machine. Pores are diminished and it keeps my skin mattified for hours (especially if I also use Paula’s Choice Shine Stopper). Bye Bye Pores claims to work for all skin tones, though I find it gives a whitish cast on darker skin. Dust bronzer over the top to warm up the skin. If it only came in tinted colors, it would achieve holy grail status!

I applied Bye Bye Pores over the Mally Just Heaven kit. There is also a before and after shot on the it Cosmetics website.
