Does Your City have the Most or Least Attractive People?

Apparently Seattle-ites aren’t so attractive or stylish. Travel + Leisure magazine ranked my hometown in the bottom 10 in these “people categories.”

You got us on style. Among the many fashion don’ts is the standard going out on the town look: trendy stiletto boots and skinny jeans topped with a fleece jacket from REI. I’m among the worst offenders because I swap the stilettos for Ugg boots. C’mon we gotta stay warm and dry, Seattle also ranked in the bottom 10 in weather!

But we’re not attractive? Really? I pass women everyday on the street and think to myself how pretty they are (not saying I don’t want to fix their makeup or hair to bring out their best look). I think Seattle may even excel in attractiveness because it is a melting pot of different cultural beauties. For the record I think every woman is beautiful in her special way.

The list is part of Travel + Leisure’s annual America’s Favorite Cities 2010 survey of visitors and residents. Sadly, residents ranked us even lower than visitors. Where’s the self-love people!?

Curious what city ranked the highest in attractive people? Charleston.

  1. I think there may be an inverse correlation between the number of layers of clothing one is required to wear for much of the year (in Seattle many layers) and level of attractiveness 😉
